Gearing up for the major release of Kanye's sixth studio album; "Yeezus" dropping tomorrow. Ye put together this short film featuring actors Scott Disick and Jonathan Cheban, reinacting the early year 2000 twisted thriller flick starring Christian Bale. Last night, like most of the prep for Kanye's album he took to the streets. This time he hosted a listening event for his upcoming album; "Yeezus." Close friends, critics, mentors, and the public were in attendance as Ye played for them the album in its entirety. He also acknowledged all of the genius minds behind the creation of the project, from Daft Punk to Rick Rubin and even young rapper/producer, Travi$ Scott. Kanye also took to the microphone to express how he feels about the creation of music and his albums from here on out. He also explained the meaning behind the album title stating that "West was my slave name, and Yeezus is my God name." Take a look after the jump to see some of what transpired. For everyone looking to put their reserve in on Kanye's 6th solo studio project, it looks like you can quickly put that thought on hold. Good friend of Mr. West; Jean Touitou(@jeantouitou) took to twitter to divulge the information that there would be no pre-orders available for this project and that June 18th was the day everyone must wait for. Seems like all speculation at this point, or perhaps another tremendous marketing ploy by Kanye-Tuh-Da. Regardless of how this turns out, we doubt that record sales will be swayed negatively in any way.

This is what took place last night, for those of you who missed it. June 18th we will all supposedly hear "Yeezus."

 

Along with the 3rd colorway of the Yeezy II sneaker that was hinted too a little while back, seems we have something to look at for Kanye's upcoming album. This photo was uploaded by Don C yesterday, and you can see the album title; "Yeezus" as well as the cover/packaging. Ye' has been having his hands in a lot as of late. The project is slated for June 18th. Check out the video for "New Slaves" that was projected across the world on 66 buildings after the jump!
